What happens at this event?

Join us for a friendly and welcoming Chair Yoga class designed for everyone – whether you're new to yoga, working with limited mobility, recovering from injury, or just looking for a gentler way to stretch and strengthen.

Using the support of a chair, we explore mindful movement, breath awareness, and relaxation in a way that’s safe, accessible, and enjoyable. There will be options to stand and improve our balance and coordination and sometimes gentle movement/dance to music (something we have found to be really calming and fun!)

FAQ's
I haven’t done any yoga before. Will your classes be suitable for me?
My Chair Yoga classes will be suitable for anyone, regardless of whether they have done any yoga or exercise before. I will always offer all sorts of variations of movements including the use of props to enable the sequence to be accessible to everyone, in fact this is actively encouraged so that we don’t risk injury. An important part of yoga is that you listen to your body and concentrate on how a pose feels, rather than how it looks. We all have different bodies with different issues that feel different from day to day, so there will always be something you can do to join in.
Do I need to bring anything?
No, just yourselves . There will be chairs at the village hall and I will provide blocks and any other equipment that we might use in the session.
I have specific aches and pains. How can I let you know?
When booking, please answer all the questions to tell me about any injuries or issues you might have. It is useful to know this so that I can ensure that all the movements we do can be adapted to suit every person taking part. I have enjoyed my 2 sessions of chair yoga and will definitely be returning. Emma is very good at reminding us to only do what we feel comfortable doing. A great way to do some gentle exercise in a relaxing environment. Thank you Emma
