This 5-week term carries us gently from February into March, as winter begins to loosen its grip and the first hints of spring start to show.  Let’s echo the seasons with our energy and momentum by continuing to steadily build up our strength and confidence. Yoga to awaken sleepy muscles, to strengthen from the inside out, and to steady busy minds. We’ll move with purpose, creating resilience in body and mind, while still weaving in space to exhale and reset your nervous system. Expect thoughtful sequences that help you feel strong and capable, improve balance and stability, and release what the winter months may have stored. Emma’s classes are so enjoyable. She takes time beforehand to set a relaxed, warm and welcoming place. The movements are not rushed and are at a good pace.    She offers many options to suit everyone’s  abilities,  from advanced to beginners, so you don’t feel uncomfortable in a pose and she takes notice of how we are moving. 
She has all the equipment you need and the bonus mini massage at the end for those who want it is a delight. 
My body always feels more mobile and stronger when I leave the session and my mind a lot calmer.  Definitely worth it.

1-2-1 Yoga

Would you like to improve wellbeing and performance in your workplace? Studies prove that having an opportunity at the beginning or middle of a work day to move, mobilise and stretch the body can increase mental clarity, creativity, focus and productivity for the rest of the day. In-work yoga sessions are also a great incentive/ reward to be able to offer to your employees.

Our yoga sessions provide the perfect opportunity for you and your colleagues to take a moment out of the day to recharge, refresh and rebalance in body and mind. We normally include some strength and mobility work, energising movement flows, breathwork and mindfulness but can tailor the sessions to what works best for you and your business.

We can provide mats, blocks and equipment (for up to 20), you just need to provide the space. We can work around equipment to an extent. As long as you can create a bit of floor space, we can get people yoga-ing! Option for Chair Yoga too if that suits your layout/ colleagues better. We are happy to lead a session for as many people as your space allows, the price remains the same.

Hi, my name is Emma and I have been practising yoga for over 20 years, on and off.  After many years of running and attending various circuits/ bootcamp style classes, about 10 years ago I rediscovered yoga and remembered how powerful it is at helping so many areas of my life.  Not just the physical side of improving my flexibility and reducing my chances of injury and pain, but also more importantly encouraging me to slow down and even 'stop' for a moment (something I found very difficult without feeling guilty!).  Sometimes my favourite part of a class was the Savasana relaxation at the end as I was being given permission to relax, something I wouldn't do on my own!

Eventually I started taking some different courses to further my yoga journey, from courses in inversions/ handstands (covid obsession!) to foundation courses teaching me more about the philosophy and history behind yoga.  I found that every single thing I learned about yoga I LOVED and just wanted to learn more, hence finally taking the plunge and embarking on my 200hr Yoga Teaching Training with akarmalife studio in Ampthill in 2023.

I have been a primary school music teacher for 20 years and although loved working with children, I knew I needed a change so decided to set up yoga classes locally, trying to introduce yoga to as many different people as possible.  I love welcoming anyone and everyone to my classes, enjoying the challenge of adapting a class to anyone who wants to come along and give it a go, hence introducing my popular Yoga for All class.

Eventually, I plan to set up some different styles of classes, once I have got to know my clients and understand what they need and like.  But for now, I kind of like a whole range of local people coming together, from different backgrounds, experiences and ages (current youngest is 13 and oldest is 79!). It really is Yoga for All and everyone is most welcome.
